£22,000 to October 2023

Assert is a member led organisation that facilitates personal empowerment for autistic adults in Brighton and Hove. We have an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills, empathy and experience to take our work forward. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have experience in supporting individuals and groups, to ensure the provision of high quality support services for adults with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). To increase wellbeing, independent living and quality of life for adults with ASC whilst promoting independence and personal empowerment

Strong administrative and IT skills and promoting our work are essential to the role.

Autism Case Worker:

To provide one to one mid-term casework support where service users are enabled to improve any personal challenges or issues that may be impacting upon them.

This will be personalised to their needs and aspirations and people will be offered up to 7 hours of individual case work support. This could be on a range of topics and could include things such as: advice, advocacy, guidance and signposting around ASC, help with any specific needs/issues, emotional and practical ASC related support. Areas of support include: employment; housing; education; post diagnosis guidance; understanding the condition; advocacy with meetings, telephone calls, letters; local signposting (internal and externally).
