We hope this finds you keeping well and safe. These are incredibly difficult times for people and we want to reach out to offer as much support as possible. We are doing what we can to develop our remote package of support. So far this has included:
Telephone or video calling support via zoom or on the phone. We are still looking to implement a chat facility too.
Jenna’s Wellbeing Pack (2) which includes all sorts of information from online courses, keeping fit and creative activities. This is available on the website.
We have been adding lots of information and resources to our Facebook and Twitter feeds too, so check these for information, resources and sources of advice.
Fitness and wellbeing sessions We had an online yoga session last week hosted by Kat Chuck. Jenna is hosting an online aerobics activity session tomorrow.
Managing Stress and Building Resilience through a Mindfulness and Meditation. A free 4 week Programme
Beginning this Monday at 18.30 on Zoom we will meet together for 45 minutes to cover topics that help us understand stress and building resilience and then to begin practicing Mindfulness together.
Each week you will be sent some short notes on the topic and an MP3 to practice between sessions, as well as the Zoom link.
During the session you will be given a short explanation of the topic notes followed by a facilitated Mindfulness practice.
This programme is designed to introduce to Mindfulness practices and provide some understanding and tools to cope with stress. We will focus on the following topics:

13th April 18.30
Finding opportunities for Mindfulness in Everyday Life and for helping Sleep.
20th April 18.30
Mindfulness for Managing Thoughts
27th April 18.30
Mindfulness and Kindness towards Ourselves and Others

Its Autism Awareness Week. To celebrate this Assert launched their recent short film. This is available to watch on the website, facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We hope you enjoy it.
Volunteer telephone support is now in the process of being set up. People may be able to access up to 30 minutes of telephone talk time with one of our amazing volunteers. More info to follow soon.
